Youth support

a male university student is having a one to one with his college lecturer or counsellor

Being a teenager has never been easy. It’s a time when you’re discovering who you are, making big decisions that impact on your adult life and navigating the murky waters of friendship in high school. And teenagers in this day and age of constant contact have it even tougher still!

Anglicare offers a range of services to help young people re-establish relationships and break free from destructive cycles of living.

On Track (job ready) program

On Track employment program Liverpool 2022

This FREE program is for students who have disengaged from school or who at risk of leaving early. It is structured to determine current and future needs and help prepare for a successful transition to work. (This can include a part time or casual job.)

The program gives students with direct and individualised support. It starts with a one day, interactive, group workshop at your school or community organisation. The workshop covers a wide range of topics, including where to look for jobs, what sort of ID is needed to apply for work, interview skills and resume writing.

The second part of the program consists of up to three one-on-one coaching sessions, that provide focussed help to complete a resume, write a cover letter or enrol in short courses to provide qualifications like your White Card or First Aid Certificate. Best of all, all ID or short course fees are paid for by the program!

This project is funded by the Australian Government, Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources.

Students in Years 9, 10 or 11 at high schools within the Liverpool, Campbelltown, Fairfield and Wingecarribee local government areas may be eligible for the On Track (job ready) Program.

If you work at a school in these areas and teach students who could benefit from this program… or if you’d like to find out whether your school (or your child’s school) is already running it… please get in touch with Anglicare today.
