    Community

    The greenery and peaceful walking paths offer the perfect setting for a morning stroll. You notice a group getting set up for morning tea in the garden - that would be nice, but you decide to head up and visit your friend Carrie. Carrie is busy tending to her gardens which she loves, she stops, and you both sit down for a cuppa and chat. You pause to take in the view. It truly is peaceful here.

    Dining

    When lunch and dinner comes around, the dining room has a vibrant energy. Mealtimes are an enjoyable experience that you look forward to, socialising with your friends and with a glass of wine when you choose. You’re grateful for the variety of choice and freshly prepared options the hospitality team prepare each day. Next month you’ve decided to join the food focus group to work with the team on the next menu. You have always enjoyed cooking, so you’re pleased to be involved and contribute.

    Home

    As you retire to your room for the evening, you reflect on your day and your time at The Donald Coburn Centre so far. A big decision at the time to leave your family home, and everything that was familiar to you, but you’re pleased you did. You’re happy you made the move on your own terms, choosing a residential aged care home that feels right for you, a place where you can embrace the social atmosphere, enjoy activities, continue your favourite hobbies, and even explore new ones.

    Yet perhaps what you value most are the friendships you’ve built since moving in. On quieter days, when you’re not up for much, it’s comforting to know that you’re surrounded by a supportive and friendly community.

    You also appreciate the respectful balance of independence and care the staff provide, they’re always there when you need them.

    This is now your home, a place where you feel safe, respected and loved.

    Fees and charges

    The price selection below is the accommodation payment, also known as the Refundable Accommodation Deposit (RAD). The accommodation payment can be made in a few different ways, either as;

    1. An upfront lump sum payment of the RAD (which is 100% refundable on your departure)
    2.  A fortnightly Daily Accommodation Payment (DAP) is calculated on the price of the room and any unpaid RAD at the current MPIR (Government determined interest rate)
    3.  A combination of both, with a partial RAD payment and the balance paid as a DAP. The higher the RAD amount you contribute, the lower your monthly DAP.

    To better understand how this works for you with your particular finances, this RAD/DAP fee estimator may help. To assist you in making the best decision based on your particular finances, we recommend seeking financial advice from an Accredited Aged Care Financial Advisor.
