    Home

    As you retire to your room for the evening, you reflect on your day and your time at Piper House so far. A big decision at the time to leave your family home, and everything that was familiar to you, but you’re pleased you did. You’re happy you made the move on your own terms, choosing a residential aged care home that feels right for you, a place where you can embrace the social atmosphere, enjoy activities, continue your favourite hobbies, and even explore new ones.

    You also appreciate the respectful balance of independence and care the staff provide, they’re always there when you need them.

    Fees and charges

    The price selection below is the accommodation payment, also known as the Refundable Accommodation Deposit (RAD). The accommodation payment can be made in a few different ways, either as;

    1. An upfront lump sum payment of the RAD (which is 100% refundable on your departure)
    2.  A fortnightly Daily Accommodation Payment (DAP) is calculated on the price of the room and any unpaid RAD at the current MPIR (Government determined interest rate)
    3.  A combination of both, with a partial RAD payment and the balance paid as a DAP. The higher the RAD amount you contribute, the lower your monthly DAP.

    To better understand how this works for you with your particular finances, this RAD/DAP fee estimator may help. To assist you in making the best decision based on your particular finances, we recommend seeking financial advice from an Accredited Aged Care Financial Advisor.
